In celebration of National Safety Month, we are highlighting the forklift training we completed with our general contracting employees. At Wagner Development Co., we require our employees to be certified in driving and safety before operating forklifts. We partnered with Lancaster Safety to ensure that we are meeting and exceeding OSHA safety standards.

Ronnie and Kylie, safety instructors from Lancaster Safety, came to our home office to provide hands-on training of how to safely and efficiently operate a forklift.  Our training included safe driving techniques, proper operating protocols and inspection guidelines, among other things.

Jeff Reno, Wagner Development Co. Superintendent, receiving forklift training from Ronnie, an instructor from Lancaster Safety.

After our forklift training, we scheduled a construction site safety walk at our current project at the Robinson Sam’s Club. Lancaster Safety did a thorough walk through of our construction zones, including the examination of containers, office trailers and interior work areas.

These safety trainings enable us to identify issues before they become a hazard. At Wagner Development Co., we are strong advocates of the belief that our employees are our most important asset and the commitment of providing a safe workplace is of paramount importance to the success of our operations. Through our partnership with Lancaster Safety, our mission has aligned in “providing the resources necessary to manage, control or eliminate all occupational safety and health hazards”.

Happy National Safety Month and thank you for following along on our journey!
